I Love You too, Man

...
Time to switch it up again. The blog has been dying slowly, whether that has been my busy life or twitter's fault, I've come to realize I need to change gears a little. The Xboxless stuff has been great, but I think it's already getting stale. Yes I'm not playing Xbox by myself anymore, yes I once played too much Halo, and yes I need to learn my lesson of everything in moderation. I think this blog has shared that point and now its time to move onto other things. And plus it's my freaking blog, I'll do whatever I want with it. (:P)

I have yet to give a shout out to Stuicide and his brilliant idea to pass the shirt, and since this post is (eventually) going be about the movie "I Love You, Man" I figured I pass some man love his way. I haven't heard much from the pass the shirt post, I'm just going to give old Stu a poke (that sounds horribly gay and I'm ok with it).

Now onto what this blog post was really for, a quick and dirty review of a film. I Love You, Man is a mainstream Jude Apatow-esque bromance in which Paul Rudd's character (Peter Klaven) gets engaged, only to realize he has no real, good, Male friends. It's a modern story of how difficult it is to really find honest loving friends. The comparison struck between the "man-dates" Peter goes and gets set up on and real life dating is rather funny and makes for some hilarious and wonderfully awkward moments. Eventually Peter runs into Sydney (as played by Jason Segel) who really seems to strike a chord with him and he works up the courage to ask him out on a man-date.

The movie is really just pure win if you ask me. The actors and actresses are all wonderful, they all seem to be able to pull off the real life awkwardness quite well. I found that Paul Rudd did a great job, and though I've never been a huge fan of Jason Segel I thought he did a really good job as well. Rashida Jones, who played Peter's fiancee Zooey, was good too. She was very nice and you could see why Paul Rudd's character was in-love with her. Overall I think the value of this film is undeniable, it has serious and comical writing, a stellar cast including the likes of Andy Samberg and J.K. Simmons (who share a hilarious scene near the beginning when Peter asks his Dad who his best friend is), and a just great overall quality.

I've gotta give I Love You, Man a 4/5 ... Loved it.

And please, let me know what you think of the movie, either here, on twitter, or even just point me to your flixster review. I'd love to here from you and I love debating movies.
