Xboxless - Moving on...

...
This blog is a little late tonight,
but I think that's a good thing.
I was doing some client work and catching up on some reading (more on that below)

Life has changed more then I expected it to since going Xboxless. It isn't that my life has all of the sudden become this glorious live and in-colour version of what it used to be, but I've found that I'm moving back to some of the things I used to love. Receding back to some childhood loves even. It isn't that I have way more time on my hands, but with the little extra time I do now have, I'm doing a healthier variety of things.
Just before Christmas I joined a 3 on 3 recreational basketball league, and I'm really enjoying the competition of it. I really missed those old high school days of having some fun on the court. I only play for about an hour to two hours every week, but it's a really great work out with a variety of different people. I highly recommend it to anyone who use to play sports.
Another thing I started picking up is comic books. When The Dark Knight was coming out I started getting back in to comic books, but mostly just Batman and mostly just to fill the Batman craving untill the movie came out. Since then I've started getting into Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely's All-Star Superman. I'm not usually a Superman fan, or much of a DC fan for that matter (when I was younger I collected Spiderman comics) but this series has really captured my attention. Comics is an old love I'm really enjoying coming back to.
These are just a couple of the spices I can now season my free time with. I've also got a nice list of movies that I'm itching to see and I've started the process to donate my time to some charitable organizations. All of this isn't JUST coming about because I quit playing Xbox for a year, but it sure is helping. I'm really enjoying this new phase and hope I can keep on Moving on...
